The Rogue Bandit closes the distance before the first blow.
— The body lean and low, pitched forward over the front foot;
— Light garments, the hood drawn up, nothing to slow him;
— A short blade in each hand, the right one up and ahead, the left held low across the thigh;
— A long scar down one cheek, the eyes fixed low on something close.
SIGNIFICANCE
The killer who works in close does not announce himself.
He comes through the gap left unwatched, both blades in hand.
One waits while the other opens the way.
The scar is from the one time he was seen. He never let there be a second.
Alex Oliver
the sculptor
With over three decades of experience in traditional and digital sculpting, Alex Oliver stands as a global reference in the field. He created 120 exclusive fine art miniatures for Fantastic Art Studios, honoring the classic icons of TTRPG—tabletop role-playing games. Oliver has worked with studios such as Blizzard Entertainment and Naughty Dog, shaping universes like World of Warcraft and Diablo II. He also sculpted lifelike dinosaurs for National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. In addition, he has taught at leading sculpture schools including Gnomon School, Massive Black, and LAAFA – Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art.
Oliver’s journey was not easy. He began without resources, mentors, or clear paths to follow. What carried him forward was a quiet obsession—an inner calling. A near-sacred commitment to treat every sculpture as worthy of existence.
